About Us
Barlow Insurance founded in 1971 by George Barlow Sr is a specialized insurance agency dedicated to
the collector car hobby. Being an avid collector car hobbyist George realized the need for a West Coast
agency that would be able to provide service to a growing hobby. After graduating from college
Jonathan Barlow Joined the agency in the late 80’s, Expanding the market from antique cars to all
types of collectible vehicles. After attending several hundred car shows over the last 40 years, Barlow
Insurance has an in depth knowledge of the hobby. We recognize the sentimental value that often
accompanies these cars as we proceed through time, frequently insuring the same car through the third
generation.

The photo above shows Jonathan and his dad on a Classic Thunderbird outing, around the late ’80s, with their 1957 Thunderbird. The car is sill in the family, many of you understand!
In the 1980s, Jonathan began learning the collector car business from his father. He began working with his father in 1982, and became licensed in 1989. In 1992, after a few years of failing health, (George loved golf and shot an honest 89 at his beloved Yorba Linda Country Club one week before he passed away, not bad for a 75 year old man with a failing heart!) George passed on. After George’s passing Jonathan continued the family business.
Today, you can still find Jonathan at car shows and events, having fun and working to help those who share his passion for classic vehicles. Stop by the tent, he would love to talk old cars.
